The BRCGS ETRS (Ethical Trade & Responsible Sourcing Standard) is the framework developed to specify the ethical trade and responsible sourcing requirements that must be adopted by a company to comply with legal and moral obligations towards workers.
This scheme is intended for companies that want to provide guarantees to consumers, but at the same time want to ensure the protection of workers, guaranteeing them the rights and protection they deserve.

The BRCGS ETRS (BRC Global Standards Ethical Trade & Responsible Sourcing) is a standard whose first version was issued in August 2019 by BRC Global Standards, a leading certification body known for ensuring the safety and quality of products. With this standard, the BRCGS uses its expertise in the field of certifications to ensure responsible sourcing and ethical practices in companies and supply chains. In other words, it's a new tool that helps promote social responsibility and ethics in business and procurement practices. The standard has been recognized as compliant with the Sustainable Supply Chain Initiative (SSCI) benchmark and is the only global standard that ensures supply chain trust and true social compliance. The latest version of the standard is number 2.1 and was published in June 2023.
