The training course focuses on the effective planning, execution, and supervision of surveys conducted during ship repair projects at shipyards. Often aligned with class and statutory requirements, these surveys play a critical role in ensuring the vessel’s continued compliance, seaworthiness, and safe operation.  

Participants will explore survey types typically carried out during repairs, such as structural inspections, machinery overhauls, dry-docking inspections, and damage assessments. They will also learn how to coordinate stakeholders, prepare vessels, and oversee repairs in line with class and flag state expectations.
